Students describe Kyra's classes as mindful, strong, active, and unique. With clear cues and appropriate pacing, students expand their yoga practice with creative flows that turn on mind-body awareness. She gives clear steps toward arm balances and other challenging postures to allow students to progress with confidence. She draws on yoga anatomy and physical therapy to increase not just range of motion, but strong or functional range of motion; one of her happiest moments was when a student did a squat for the first time—while weeding in her garden. There will always be a meditation and often a crystal singing bowl to help cultivate ease, equanimity, and mental focus on and off the mat. She currently teaches at Source Yoga: Center for Yoga and Mindfulness, the YMCA, and local brewery events. She is also available for private sessions. She has over 300 hours of teaching experience and a continuous personal practice since 2013.

Kyra will complete her advanced certification (RYT-500) with Three Trees Yoga in 2020. She completed her 200-hour teacher training at Live Well Studio in Corvallis, Oregon in 2018. She gives thanks to teachers Meredith Holcomb and Kate Gallagher.
