In teaching, Kyra hopes to share a sense of curiosity and embodiment. Classes safely advance students’ range of motion, proprioception and balance, asana variations, and practice of being present. Drawing on yoga anatomy and physical therapy, she offers more strength and stability than is common for modern yoga. As a professional Ironman triathlete, Kyra brings a unique perspective on how yoga can increase athletic performance.
She currently teaches weekly classes at CrossFit Gig Harbor and the YMCA, and occasionally at Source Yoga and at local brewery events. She has over 250 hours of teaching experience and a continuous personal practice since 2013.
Kyra will complete her advanced certification (RYT-500) with Three Trees Yoga in 2020. She completed her 200-hour teacher training at Live Well Studio in Corvallis, Oregon in 2018.
